Where and When:

The next Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Purdon's Beach. All those who are associated with the lake are welcome to attend. Children are especially welcome to come and try out the play structure at the beach. The time is 11:30 to 2:30.

It is free!

Why:

It is a chance to meet old friends and make new friends. It gives us the opportunity to catch up on all the lake news. Find out the latest on the Lake Management Plan. We hope to have a show and tell on plant and aquatic animal invasive species. Compare your bird lists.

What's to Eat?

Bring your own picnic lunch. Hot dogs, cookies, and cold water will be available, provided by the Lake Association.

Rain Date:

The rain date is the next day, Sunday August 7, 2011.

Directions:

By Land: From Watson’s Corners Road (county road 8), go north on Dalhousie Concession 8B until you see the sign for Purdon’s Cottages on the right.

canoe By Water: Purdon’s Cottages are at the westernmost end of the lake. You are encouraged to travel by canoe or kayak. There will be lots of room to park your boat on shore.

If travelling by motor boat, please try to ‘boat pool’ with your neighbour(s) in order to ensure that there is enough dock space available.
